Today’s Scripture: 2 Chronicles 13:18, NIV- “The Israelites were subdued on that occasion, and the people of Judah were victorious because they relied on the LORD, the God of their ancestors.”
Our battles today are similar to those during biblical times. There is and always have been good versus evil. I was reminded this morning that we should always choose to be on God’s side. The enemy may be louder and larger, but God is going to route them as He did in 2 Chronicles 13.
The people of Judah were victorious because they relied on the LORD. They boldly announced that the LORD was their God and they were serving Him. We are victorious when we rely on the LORD. At the sound of their battle cry, the LORD routed those not serving Him. As long as we are bold and our battle cry is our reliance on the LORD, the God of Israel we will be victorious.
Let us be clear with our battle cry that we are with the LORD God of Israel and it is He who fights our battles and assures our victories.
Will you rely on the LORD God of Israel today?
Today’s Prayer: LORD God of Israel, I am thanking, praising, and serving You. You alone are the almighty God, the creator God, and our sustainer God. With Your might I am taking the kingdoms You have planned for me. I am living out of Your promises and strength. Thank You God, LORD God of Israel for being my battle cry before my enemies who are loud and against You. Help me to serve You all of my days, to declare Your name, and to stand for Your causes. Amen
