Today’s Scripture: Psalm 80:3, NIV- “Restore us, O God; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.”
Three times in this 80th Psalm the writer is crying out to God to restore the people. Just as today, we are a weak people and quickly turn from our God who has blessed us and given us our land. We live in a land of prosperity, rolling hills, and beauty. Yet, we forget God.
Many times we do not turn to cry out to God until it seems too late. We wait until we witness immorality that is spiraling out of control. We are seeing dishonesty masquerading as truth. Lord God, God Almighty, please make Your face shine upon us so we may be saved!
God cleared this land for us and I am praying we continue to call Him to be LORD of this land. As Psalm 80:14, NIV cries out “Return to us, God Almighty! Look down from heaven and see! Watch over this vine.”
Will we join together today and cry out to God to restore this land He gave us?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, LORD of heaven, we are crying out to You to restore our land. Thank You Father God for clearing our way and for providing this land. Forgive us for our turning away from You. We are turning to You and crying out now for You, God, to restore us, please make Your face shine on us, and save this land. Bring us all to Jesus so we will know the light that was sent to save us. Amen
