Today’s Scripture: Psalm 88:9 ESV – “my eye grows dim through sorrow. Every day I call upon you, O LORD; I spread out my hands to you.”
In dark days and bright days we can call on the LORD. This 88th Psalm is dark, seemingly hopeless. Through darkness we must always remember that the LORD is the God who saves us.
We must continue to pray and cry out in our darkest times. The next chapter in Psalms and our lives can change drastically.
“I will sing of the steadfast love of the LORD, forever” is in the very first verse of the next chapter. I pray you and I remember this wherever we are. Whether we are in the pits of hell or walking in the light of God’s face, we can call on Him; every day.
We may not feel the steadfast love until another chapter but we can know it by crying out to God day and night.
Do you call upon the LORD every day?
Today’s Prayer: O LORD, God of my salvation I present my prayers to You.You are the God who saves me.Thank You for Your promise to hear my cry. LORD, help me to call upon You every day. Keep me forever mindful of my hopefulness regardless of my abundance or my lack. O LORD, I cry to You. Amen
