Today’s Scripture: John 8:37, NIV- “I know that you are Abraham’s descendants. Yet you are looking for a way to kill me, because you have no room for my word.”
We have to make room for Jesus in our lives. This world, the father of this world, will fill every part of us if we allow them. We must carve out time and space for God and His Son in us.
Reading John 8 is a life’s journey. We learn from Jesus who He says He is and who He says we are. When we make room for God’s Word, Jesus’ Word, they become our Word. When we share what we find in God’s Word and in the presence of God, we become who He sent us here to be.
We cannot grasp this in our minds. This knowledge is not head knowledge this is God’s knowledge within us that we have welcomed in. When we open up ourselves to Him for even one minute we receive and become His Word and when we share what we hear in His presence we give Him to others.
Today’s Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for teaching us who You are. Thank You for teaching us who we are. We too were sent from the Father. Help me to protect and make room for Your Word today and every day. I am welcoming You Lord into my innermost spaces. Please come and take my first spaces of each day so I live from Your Word and Your light so much so that I become Your Word and Your Light. In Your name Jesus I do pray. Amen
