I am God’s child now

Today’s Scripture: Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:2 ESV

Right here, right now I am God’s child. How do I stay right here?

Living in God’s love now and loving like God now helps us experience living in Christ. So often I wonder what God is doing in me and wonder what His purpose in me is. Here in 1 John 3:2 I find peace in knowing that what I will be has not yet appeared.

However what is clear here in 1 John 3 is that if I live in Christ and His Spirit I will live and love as He does. I only need His love and to practice His love. As we hope in Jesus we are purified.

God’s seed lives in me. God’s life is in me. God’s love is in me and when I live from God’s love and love with His love I live.

Will you live and love as God’s child now?

Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for loving me as Your child now. Thank You for Jesus and for teaching us His love. I believe in Jesus and desire to love as He loves. Help me to live in You and give Your love to all others. Please help me to do what pleases you now and always. Amen
