I give thanks always and in everything to God

Today’s Scripture: giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Ephesians 5:20 ESV

Our words can be shallow can’t they? Can we say one thing yet live another?

 

Although shallow these words can still be a healthy seed planted in our minds. However, our minds are flesh and true thanksgiving is in God’s word and in His Spirit. In God’s word and in the life of Jesus Christ the Spirit brings true thanksgiving ALWAYS and in EVERYTHING.

 

I can give thanks always and in everything because my thanksgivings are in Him and not in my circumstances. If I submit to Christ I help the church submit to Christ. If we are submitted to Christ we can submit to each other.

 

We must bathe in His Word. In His word we come to know His promises and come to live in His Spirit. Here we can give thanks always and in everything to God in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Today’s Prayer: Father God, I give You my thanks always and in everything in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ. I am thankful to be a part of Christ’s body. I am thankful for the Spirit who helps me submit to You and others. Help me to bathe in Your Word to be cleansed and filled with thanksgiving always and in everything. Amen
