Today’s Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:31 NASB: I affirm, brethren, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
OK, I am not a theologian but I have found that to find myself in Christ I must lose myself in the flesh. To put on immortality I must put off the mortal. To inherit the imperishable I must get beyond the perishable.
In Christ all become alive. To live the spiritual life of Christ we must be beyond the natural life. The entire Christian church is founded upon the death and resurrection of Jesus. Without the death there could be no resurrection. It is the same with us. Without our death we can not be raised in the spiritual life God has intended for us.
Paul was debating those who said there was no such thing as resurrection of the dead. Paul is also indicating there is a spiritual realm beyond our fleshly realm. We will be fully alive when we live in Christ.
Are you willing to die to yourself so you can find yourself in Christ?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, I want to die to my flesh so I may be raised in Your glory. Thank you LORD for the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I do believe Jesus lived, died and rose again. I also believe for me to live the fullness of Christ I must die to myself daily. Raise me up LORD so I am alive in Christ today. Amen
