Today’s Scripture: Ecclesiastes 3:11 NLT- “Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.”
We may not be able to see it, yet God has already made what we are going through Beautiful. God knows all of eternity and He has planted eternity in our hearts. Solomon instructed us in Ecclesiastes 3:1 that “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
We can trust God with what we cannot see. God has gifted us with the ability to find satisfaction in our current situations but during the times we cannot see beauty, we can trust God. May we be reminded of this eternal perspective God has given us regardless of the season. LORD keep us humble when we are in a good place and give us hope when we are not.
Ecclesiastes 3:14 reminds us that everything God does will endure forever. If we are not feeling or seeing it today, we can trust God with eternity. Our lives are shorter than we think so Solomon encourages us to enjoy the work we are doing today.
Solomon also reminds us to surround ourselves with others. Two are better than one. As Ecclesiastes 4:12 states, “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” We can be thankful for those God has in our lives now to strengthen us when we are weak.
We can be thankful as Ecclesiastes 5:20 states that God can keep us busy with the joys of our hearts. Let us trust God with eternity and work today in the joy of knowing God will make everything beautiful in its time.
Will you trust that God will make all things beautiful in its time?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for planting eternity in our hearts. Keep us mindful of the eternal perspective when living the seasons of this life. Thank You for making everything beautiful in its time. Continue to fill our hearts with joy, LORD. Help us enjoy our works today looking towards Your beauty for all of eternity. Amen.
