Today’s Scripture: Psalm 71:1, NKJV- “In You, O LORD, I put my trust; Let me never be put to shame.”
Have you learned to trust God? I am learning to more and more. Also, the more I have read the Psalms the more I love David’s heart. God has become my rock, where I can always go as David relates in Psalm 71:3. God is my deliverer from this evil and cruel world in a way David experienced in Psalm 71:4.
God is my hope and my confidence that David shares he knew in Psalm 71:5. I must continually praise God for what He has done for me since He brought me from my mother’s womb, just as David mentions in Psalm 71:6.
I want to live out my trust as much as I feel it or state it. Do I say I trust the LORD yet live like I trust the things of man? Yes, there is confusion there and like David my desire is not to be confused nor cause confusion to others. Life in the flesh is complicated. Yet, we can always put our trust in the LORD.
When circumstances or other people break our trust, we can still praise and glorify God with our lips and our lives. When we keep God close, He is here to help us quickly. God is our hope and we can praise him more and more just as David mentions in Psalm 71:14.
God continues to teach us day after day. We can continue to share the wonderful things God does for us so others too will come to know this hope. We can declare God’s power to the next generation as David also felt compelled to do in Psalm 71:18. This generation and the next need to hear of God’s strength. It is best found by hearing and witnessing it in our lives.
We will have troubles as David states in Psalm 71:20 and it is still God who brings us up from the depths of despair. Thank You LORD for the comfort You give to us. I am sharing Your joy and singing Your praises.
How is God teaching you to completely trust Him?
Today’s Prayer: I love you LORD and I am putting my trust in You. I am praising you and giving You glory. May I share your strength and glory with others today. Help me to live my trust, hope, confidence, and joy in You LORD, so I may share this with others and not cause any confusion or shame. Amen.
