Today’s Scripture: Exodus 3:12, NKJV- “So He said, “I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”
God was assuring Moses that He would certainly be with him as he went to free God’s people in Egypt. Moses was not as certain. We are not very certain, at times either, are we? When we step into our mission or even just into our day, how certain are we that both God is with us and we are with God?
God attracted Moses through the burning bush. Many times, we are attracted to God by the fires in our lives. Can we too see and hear God in the flames? Whether we are just going about our chores today or saving a nation, our God is certainly with us.
I am praying to certainly be with Him. Like Moses, we can quickly get lost in the thoughts and fears of what will people say and do. God, is assuring us too, that the same I AM that was with Moses is with us. We can talk out our uncertainties with God as Moses did. God will send us help as He sent Aaron to Moses.
Too many days I forget to stay with God or remain confident that He and His hand are with me. He can change the hearts and minds of those around us. We may not have a magical staff, but we have God. In Exodus 4:12, God tells Moses He will teach him what to say. Do we ask God to teach us what to say? In Exodus 4:15, God promises to teach Moses and Aaron what to do. We can ask God what we are to do, too.
God is certainly with us today, are we certainly with Him?
Today’s Prayer: Dear LORD, Father of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Moses. You are my God and the great I AM. I am thankful Father God, that You are certainly with me now. I am praying to You Father now that I certainly stay with You. LORD, I need You always to teach me what to say and do. Grant me confidence and effectiveness in all things knowing You and Your hand are with me. Use me LORD for Your glory, honor, and people. Continue to teach me LORD to do Your will and bring You glory in all my works. Amen.
