Today’s Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:10, NKJV- “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
Who or what are you? What is your story? Do you see yourself as the person before the grace of God in your life or the person after God’s grace. By God’s grace we are who we are. No matter our story we can glorify the Father. Our darkest hours and our brightest moments may be used for His glory and to help our fellow human.
This isn’t about whether we feel worthy or not. Paul, who wrote 60% of the New Testament didn’t feel worthy either because of his persecution of the early Christians before his experience with grace.
Jesus was raised from the dead and we have been raised from a dead life. We were raised with the same power that raised Jesus. We too were raised to share the grace of God. Our hope is in Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:22 states that we have all been made alive in Christ. We can live our out stories of who we are in Christ. We can share what Christ has done for us and how we are now equipped to give a pathway to grace and heaven.
In 1 Corinthians 15:51 Paul reveals that we will all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye the grace of God changes us for His glory. Don’t let the evil one make you think you are not worthy. All our stories are worthy of Him who died for us.
We can spend the rest of our lives giving ourselves fully to the work of the Lord in who he has created in us. We well encourage others to give themselves fully to the work of the Lord. Our stories and our labor are not in vain.
- What have you experienced in your life that can help others?
- Do you worry about shame or not being worthy?
- Has anyone else’s story ever helped you realize you weren’t alone and you could make it through?
- Who do you think would benefit most from your story?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for your grace. Thank You for making me what I am. Thank You for bringing me to life so I can give myself fully to Your work. Use me Lord to encourage others to seek Your grace and to live who You have created them to be. Help us to encourage each other to stand firm and to give ourselves fully to Your work. We pray to live and love in our risen bodies to serve all others to welcome them to heaven. Amen.
