Today’s Scripture: Psalm 139:10, NKJV- “Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me.”
“Even” there. We are all at different places at this very moment. Some are hurting, some are sick, some are angry, some are lost, some are dying, some are broken, some are in denial, some are joyous, some are confused, some are consumed by lusts, some are on the top of the world, and some are living in the pits of hell… Yes, even there.
Psalm 139:1 states “You have searched me and known me.” God knows where we are. He knows us and what we need more than we do. Can we comprehend God knowing our every move? No, and David acknowledges that in Psalm 139:6. “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it.” (NKJV)
Even if we are in heaven or hell at this moment, we cannot flee His presence. God knows us and where we are right now. A few moments ago, in my prayer time, I knew God’s Spirit took over my prayer. I could let go and know He was leading His Spirit and mine and He was holding me.
Over twelve years ago when I wrote on this scripture, I wrote that I was laying prostrate before the LORD praying that He would take my sins from me. That day and this day, even here and every day in between God has been with me. This truly is too wonderful for me to understand but not too wonderful for me not to thank Him.
- Do you have places where you doubt God’s presence?
- How do you deal with your inability to “understand” this concept?
- Where are you today? Will you allow God to lead you and hold you?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for being so wonderful to me. Even here LORD, it is wonderful to know you are with me. Thank You for Leading me to where You desire, I go. Thank You for holding me LORD even when I am unholdable. I love You LORD and I am thankful Your Spirit is with me and prays for me to follow You. Amen.
