Today’s Scripture: Psalm 40:1, KJB- “To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me and heard my cry.”
Psalm 40 brings a smile to my face and a pep to my step. Like David in Psalm 40:2, I am thankful that God also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
I am thankful that through my sins of alcoholism, divorce, and destruction, it is God who has picked me up and put me on His way. He has put this new song in my mouth so others too will see, fear, and trust in the LORD.
My only desire is to listen and do God’s will as He has written in my heart. I am praising God for the steps He has given me. I am telling everyone that it is God who is faithful, and it is He who saves.
God’s love and faithfulness always protect us. I am thankful to proclaim that God is great, are you?
Today’s Prayer: God, You are great! Thank You, LORD, for hearing my cry. Thank You LORD for this new Song in my heart and mouth. I am praying to give You glory for the steps You have given me. Use me LORD so others too will see, fear and trust in You. I am praising You LORD for leaning down to hear me, delivering me, and setting me back on Your planned path. Amen.
