Today’s Scripture: Ephesians 2:18, NKJV- “For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.”
Sometimes we just don’t know it yet. Maturity in Christ can take a while. I am looking back at the beginning of my journey, and I captured this affirmation from Ephesians 2:18 on the first day of this journey over fourteen years ago.
I could not grasp the access I had to the Father then or now. However, just this morning prior to coming to this word I was consciously aware that it was the Spirit of Christ speaking for me in my prayers. Do I fully grasp that this is the same Spirit that gave Jesus Christ access to our Father God?
Probably not, but like Christ, who brought me near to God through His blood, I know I have complete access to God the Father today. In His heavenly realm and right here in the muck of life. I have clear and constant access.
Welcome Father God. I welcome Your kingdom and Your will here, right now.
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ and His blood that brought me near to You. Thank You LORD for Your Holy Spirit that grants me access to You. Thank You Holy Spirit for praying with and for me. Thank You LORD for Your Word that reminds me, teaches me, and walks me along Your way. Thank You Father for helping me to know You more completely and for developing confidence and faith in access to You. Amen.
