Today’s scripture: Ephesians 6:24, KJB- “Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.”
How sincere are you in your love for Jesus Christ? Do we even know how to love Jesus sincerely enough? God’s Word has a round about way of getting us to right where we need to be. Some people say there are many ways to God.
I have found that God uses many ways to get me to where He wants me. Even those people who have been tasked to work on translations of the Holy Scriptures seem to struggle to put their arms around the sincerity of love we must have.
The NIV states Ephesians 6:24 as an “undying” love. I want that, don’t you? The ESV and NASB call it a “love incorruptible”, I pray for that too. Some call it loving “undecayingly”. The Contemporary English Version simply states, “keep on loving our Lord Jesus Christ.”
I will keep on loving as sincerely as I can and trust God to get me to where He wants me, will you?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, I love You and my Lord Jesus Christ as sincerely as I understand. LORD, I am praying to have an undying and incorruptible love for You. I am asking that You and Your Holy Spirit help me love You completely. With the fullness of Your love, I can love. I am praying and relying on Your power and might to strengthen my love. Amen.
