Today’s Scripture: 1 Chronicles 4:10, NIV- “And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.”
“The prayer of Jabez” was made well known by Bruce Wilkinson in the early 2000s. This is only one of approximately 30,000 verses in the Bible of God. As I read this verse this morning, I was reminded of the God I read of and pray to. The God of the Bible, the God who called the people of Israel, His chosen people.
Yes, God, God of Israel You are my God. I am praying that You lead me in the life You intend. I am praying to prove myself faithful in the territory You give me. Thank You LORD for the many blessings You have given me.
The Holy Bible is full of scriptures that change us and feed us our daily bread. We mature and grow into our territories armed with the love and wisdom from the Word of God. Will you thank God for blessing You today?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, God of Israel, thank You for blessing me. Thank You for Your scriptures that teach, correct, and promise us Your ways. Please enlarge my territory as You intend and keep Your hand upon me and Your Words in my heart and mind. Please keep me from evil and keep me from causing pain to others. In the light of Your love and purposes help me shine for You. Amen.
