Today’s Scripture: Ephesians 4:28, NIV- “Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.”
We most certainly have something to share with those in need. Back in the “old days” they used to refer to an “honest days” work. Good, wholesome, work with our own hands is good for our souls, communities, and body of Christ.
Trying to be someone we are not is stealing from God. As in Ephesians 4:13, we must grow up and accept the fullness of Christ. In Christ we are a vital part of a healthy body. Christ has given us this new life for us to serve and share with those in need.
Ephesians 4:24 instructs us to put on our new self which was created to be like God. Working with a heart to be like God, with hands willing to be used, and a mindset to find someone in need and we will find we have something to share.
What do you have to share to those in need?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ. Help me LORD to grow and mature to be the part of Christ’s body that You created me to be. Grant me confidence, resolve, and persistence, to do what I can do with my own hands so that I have something to share with those in need. Help me be honest and fill myself with Your truth and love. I am thankful for You promising me I have something to share with those in need. Amen.
