Today’s Scripture: Psalm 139:16, NIV- “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”
I am not saying everything is about me. However, it occurred to me this morning when reading Psalm 139 that not only did God form us in the womb, but He also ordained all our days in His “book”.
We often quote Psalm 139 when speaking of the value of life and the unborn. It is impossible to fathom how well God knows us. He formed us, ordered all our days before one of them came to be and wrote them down in His book.
I honestly do not know what “book of life” that is referenced so many times in God’s Bible. I started this affirmation journey because I wanted to affirm and become who God called me to be. When I claim to be and do what God has written I do become the me God wrote about in His Holy Scriptures, His book.
I do find myself or at the least the person I desire to be in God’s book, do you?
Today’s Prayer: Thank You God for forming me in the womb and for ordering all my days. I am praying now to find myself in Your book of the law and love. Thank You for Your Holy Scriptures that provide Your plan for us. Grant me the diligence to read and live out the life You have created for me. Thank You for this book that encourages, corrects, and molds me. I am thankful to find myself in Your Word. Show me LORD who I am. Amen.
