Today’s Scripture: Matthew 6:24, NLT- ““No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.”
In the Matthew 6:24 we are warned about what we focus our gaze upon. We must be diligent in our awareness of the great darkness of this world. We want to look away and look to God.
Our eyes and our hearts are susceptible to darkness in the flesh. What we fill them both with determines much of our fulfillment. Fulfillment in the richness of life and our promise. Where are hearts are is where our treasures lie as stated in Matthew 6:21.
When we commit ourselves to looking, serving, and devoting our hearts to God we find the true treasures of life and leave it a better place. Riches of man decay while the treasures of God continue to prosper well past our departure.
Our Heavenly Father rewards us in deep, powerful, and wonderful ways. His rewards make man’s rewards seem insignificant. Our Father knows what we need.
Who are You serving, loving, and devoting yourself to today?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, I am seeking You and Your Kingdom. LORD, I am offering up my heart, mind, soul, and service to You. Please guard my eyes and heart and direct them to You and Your service. I am asking You now LORD that You help me and show me the ways to serve, love, and devote myself to You. You, LORD, are my treasure. Forgive me for when I attempt to serve other masters and I thank You for providing for me everything I need. Amen.
