Today’s Scripture: Isaiah 30:21, TLB- “And if you leave God’s paths and go astray, you will hear a voice behind you say, “No, this is the way; walk here.””
Do you hear the voice of God? As I let the Holy Spirit pray on my behalf this morning I sensed where this voice was reverberating. Behind me, from the center of my back, my internal ears strained to connect with these vibrations.
Quite a few years ago, in my prayer time, I picked up on this God connection within or behind me. I recall thinking that I had found where the Holy Spirit resides in me. As I read Isaiah 30:21 this morning I noticed that we are told that if we turn to the left or right or leave God’s paths by going astray that we would hear a voice behind us.
I am encouraged that the LORD will give us guidance and direction wherever we turn. I was also surprised to confirm this voice I feel and hear. I thank the Holy Spirit. Some attribute this to intuition, gut, or a hunch but there is a voice.
Do you hear it?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for speaking to us. We hear You in Your Word. We hear You in the still small voice. We hear You in resounding life events. Thank You LORD. I am thankful Your Spirit speaks on my behalf. When I don’t know where to turn or what to say, I am thankful for Your Spirit who will speak in groanings I do not understand. Guide me LORD, tell me which way to go. As Your Spirit behind me speaks, I will go. Amen.
