Today’s Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 15:57-58, NIV- “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
We can feel forsaken at times, however in our Lord Jesus Christ, we find complete and total victory. No matter what our circumstances or feelings are we can stand with Jesus. Jesus’ victory on the cross assured us that we always have a path to full and eternal victory.
I am sure we can look back at times when we did not stand firm with Jesus and were less than victorious. If we work hard and seek our own ways or the ways of this world, we will find limited success. We also find ourselves far from the eternal victory of Jesus.
I am thankful for the promise of Ezekiel 34:11-12, “For thus says the Lord GOD: “Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day.” (NKJV)
God seeks us out, so we live in the total victory of Jesus Christ. God sent Jesus to find us and show us His way. You and I can stand firm with Jesus. Our works for the Lord are not in vain. Although our earthly vocations will have us quickly replaced the work we do with Jesus will stand forever.
Everything we will ever need is found in the victory of Jesus. When God spoke into my soul that
“Every affirmation you will ever need is found in My Word” I have now come to rest and stand firm that when I labor with Jesus, I leave a labor of love that is assured complete and total victory.
We can be assured victory because it is not in us and our efforts but in the blood of Jesus Christ. If our labor and our victories are for Jesus, we find everything we will ever need to leave a legacy of His love and sacrifice. As 1 Corinthians 15:54 guarantees “So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” (NKJV)
Do you want to leave a legacy that will last long after you are gone? We can take on the immortal and incorruptible blood of Jesus. Our victory is assured so let us live and labor in the victory of Jesus today.
Today’s Prayer: Almighty God, our Shepherd, thank You for seeking us out. Thank You for sending Jesus for us so we may live in His victory. Help us LORD to stand with Jesus and to labor with You so that our victory is assured. You LORD are everything we need, and I pray to stand with You always. In the victorious name of Jesus Christ, we do pray. Amen.
