Today’s Scripture: Jeremiah 33:11, NKJV- “the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who will say: “Praise the LORD of hosts, For the LORD is good, For His mercy endures forever”— and of those who will bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause the captives of the land to return as at the first,’ says the LORD.”
God’s plan is easier than we make it. We are constantly striving to do better and to make up for our shortcomings. Instead of trying to fix ourselves, we can turn our focus on praising God for who He is.
We can speak directly to and hear from the LORD who made the earth and us. We can call to Him, and He will answer us, and show us great and mighty things, which we do not know. We can pray to the LORD regarding every facet of our lives. Nothing is too great or too small for our LORD.
This time of Jeremiah was not easy, the children of Israel were being taken over by the Babylonians. However, God still had promises to restore them. God still has plans to restore us as well. God will bring health and healing; He will heal His people and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.
The sacrifice of praise can feel like a chore in tough times. However, we can pray as Jeremiah did in Jeremiah 32;17-25 where he stated “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.” It was after these words of praise that the LORD came to him.
Will you offer a sacrifice of praise to the LORD today?
Today’s Prayer: Almighty God, maker of heaven and earth. Thank You for making all things including me. Nothing is too great for You LORD. I am trusting in Your plans both great and small. I will continue to praise You in the face of trials. I am trusting You with all things in my life. Help me to live for You and sacrifice myself for Your good. I am praising You now my LORD. Amen.
