Today’s Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:6, NKJV- “Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.”
Paul was reminding Timothy to stir up the gifts of God which were in him. In these verses Paul was also reminding Timothy that his faith was boosted by the faith of his grandmother and mother as well as the hands of Paul.
Sometimes we need reminding and sometimes we are the reminder. When we share our gifts and faith, we encourage others to share their gifts and faith. As we share, we stir things up inside of us. Some translations say to fan the flames of our gifts from God. We all have them. I write to you today, not out of my gift of writing, but out of my desire to stir up my gifts and to remind you to stir up your gifts.
We all have gifts, experiences, and stories of how God’s strength, presence, or miraculous timing has been revealed in our lives. When we stir up those memories and share them with others, we, in turn, are reminding and encouraging them to share their gifts.

Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for those who remind me to stir up the gifts You have given me. I am praying that my stirring and sharing will remind and encourage others. Thank You LORD for those whose faith helped develop my faith. Please use the faith that You have developed in me to help fan the flames of faith in others. I am praying night and day for the gifts of Your children to fill this world to fulfill the world yet to come. Amen
