Today’s Scripture: Ruth 1:7, NKJV- “Therefore she went out from the place where she was, and her two daughters-in-law with her; and they went on the way to return to the land of Judah.”
If we are lost and do not know where to go, we can trust in God’s way. Naomi had lost her husband and her two sons. In Ruth 1:6 we learned that Naomi had “heard” that God had visited His people by giving them bread.
We don’t know how Naomi heard this or from whom, but this was enough to put her and her two daughters-in-law on a certain path, God’s path. Many different thoughts, nudges, messages, and circumstances set us on our paths too.
Naomi offered kindness and was thankful for the kindness others had given her. Regardless of our path we can show kindness and we can receive kindness. Somehow when we ask God for direction we end up in the right place.
The road isn’t easy, but we can keep our hope even when is seems the LORD has turned against us. Like Ruth, we can go where God will be our God. Where are you going?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, You are my God. Thank You for Your daily bread and direction. I am praying to continually travel in Your direction. I am trusting that You are guiding me whether I know where I am going or not. Guide me LORD with Your Holy Spirit and Your messengers. Help me to take others in Your way. Thank You LORD for the ways I cannot comprehend. Thank You LORD for visiting with us and feeding us along our way. Amen.
