Jesus, I am reaching out to You.

Today’s Scripture: Luke 6:19, NASB “And all the people were trying to touch Him, because power was coming from Him and healing them all.”

Everyone in the crowd that day were reaching out to touch Jesus because of the power they hoped to receive from Him. Like them, we can try to touch Jesus. I find that when I reach out to Jesus, I find healing.

When we strive and strain to reach Jesus, we will find Him. When we seek Him in the Gospels, we find Him and His healing. What Jesus gives us may not be what we expect nor be the healing we want but His power is there for us.

On that day in Luke 6 there were the newly named twelve apostles, a crowd of disciples and a great multitude and He healed them all. Jesus loved the apostles, the disciples, and the multitudes. He loves all of us too.

Jesus calls us to love everyone. His power is what makes this possible. We can go to God in prayer and seek His power as Jesus did in this same chapter of Luke. Our rewards and our blessings are great when we try to touch Jesus.

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, I am reaching out to You. I feel Your great power and I thank You for healing me. I thank You for Your words and for Your Love for me. Please grant us Your healing Lord. We need Your healing power. I am reaching out to You now Jesus for those who are unable to reach out to You currently. Please show them Your love and power. Amen
